Accredited taxis may only be booked with a prescription from your physician. You must pay the fare upfront, but in some cases it will be reimbursed by the health authority (CPAM).
Leaving the clinic by ambulance
If your condition requires it, it is possible to use one of the following means of medical transportation to leave the clinic (on prescription only):
- ambulance (lying-down transportation),
- taxi-ambulance (seated transportation).
Your physician will give you a transportation voucher that will allow you to request reimbursement of expenses incurred from the health authority (CPAM). You are free to choose the transport company you wish to travel with. Ask the healthcare team for more information.
